Introduction

Doctor Basel Abu-Serieh is a neurosurgeon specialising in the management of spinal conditions. Having qualified in medicine in 1999, he completed his neurosurgery training in several leading Belgian university institutions, notably at UCL, ULB and the University of Liège. Keen to develop advanced expertise in spinal surgery, he also rounded off his training with specialised further study at the Claude Bernard University in Lyon.

His activity is primarily devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. He treats degenerative pathologies as well as herniated discs, spinal stenosis, vertebral instabilities, and certain traumatic and tumour-related pathologies of the spine.

Dr Abu-Serieh places particular importance on supporting his patients throughout their care pathway. He provides personalised follow-up, from the initial consultation and diagnosis through to treatment, surgery when indicated, and post-operative monitoring and recovery. This comprehensive approach enables him to offer every patient consistent, attentive care tailored to their needs.

Member of several national and international scientific societies dedicated to spinal surgery and neurosurgery, he regularly takes part in continuous training activities and specialised congresses in order to maintain a practice based on the most recent advances in his specialty.

Doctor Abu-Serieh is fluent in French, Arabic, Romanian and English, enabling him to ensure clear and personalised communication with an international and multicultural patient base.
