
Dr Cristian Ninulescu
Introduction
Dr Cristian Ninulescu is a paediatric orthopaedic surgeon. His entire practice is dedicated to the management of bone and joint conditions in children and adolescents.
Graduated in medicine with the highest distinction from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova (Romania) in 2010, he completed an international training path including an Erasmus year at the University of Mons (UMONS). After initial training in orthopaedic surgery in Bucharest (2010-2012), he continued his specialisation in Brussels from 2012 to 2017.
Dr Ninulescu has completed his training through numerous international specialised courses and programmes in paediatric orthopaedics and sports surgery (ULB, EPOS BAT Course, EPOS Advanced Courses Vienna, EBAC Istanbul, DIU in Arthroscopy from the French-Speaking Arthroscopy Society with a dissertation and fellowship under the direction of Prof. Romain Seil, Luxembourg, EPOS Clubfoot Course Porto, EPOS Advanced Pediatric Arthroscopy Course – Geneva).
His expertise focuses particularly on knee conditions in children and adolescents, as well as paediatric sports injuries, notably patellar instability, anterior cruciate ligament injuries, osteochondritis dissecans and discoid meniscus. He also treats all paediatric orthopaedic conditions, notably spinal deformities, gait disorders, limb length discrepancies, knock knees (genu valgum), bow legs (genu varum), developmental dysplasia and dislocation of the hip, slipped capital femoral epiphysis, Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease, as well as foot conditions such as flat foot, cavus foot, tarsal coalitions and clubfoot.
Dr Ninulescu is a member of the Royal Belgian Society for Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (SORBCOT), the Belgian Association of Pediatric Orthopaedics (BAPO), the European Paediatric Orthopaedic Society (EPOS), the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) and the French-speaking Arthroscopy Society (SFA). He regularly takes part in international conferences and training courses in order to maintain up-to-date expertise based on the most recent scientific data.
